Description Marjorie Mary Biswell Watson, ca. age 72, a native of Haines and Baker City. Marjorie's parents were Dr. Roger Biswell, Sr. (1883-1943) and Mary Myrtle Bratton (married 1907). In 1942, Marjorie (11-4-1911 to 6-16-1999) married David Edmund Watson (2-23-1910 to 2-18-1987). They lived many years in Spokane, Washington, where they are buried. Their daughter is Suzanne Watson Fleming. In a 2009 email to the curator, Suzanne wrote this about her mother: "The "beautiful color photo" of mother was taken when she was about 72. She was always beautiful on the outside, as well as the inside, and she had a special magnetic personality and wisdom that people were drawn to."
Marjorie's grandparents were James Joseph Biswell (1849-1913) and Sally Ann Eubank (1852-1909). James was a road supervisor for Baker County around the turn of the 20th century. Their children were Wallace, Carrie, William, Ora, Roger, and Ella. Marjorie's brother, Dr. Roger Biswell, Jr. (1910-1969), and his wife, Dr. Flora Biswell, practiced medicine in Baker for many years. Their children are Roderick "Rick", Mary, and Ann (BHS '55, '56, & '62).

Wallace "Wally" Merle Byam, inventor of the Airstream travel trailer, was first cousin of Marjorie and Roger, Jr. Wally was born 7-4-1896 in Baker City to Bert Byam and Carrie Biswell Byam, a Baker City teacher.
