Description Tiedemann, Dr. Albert William, Sr. ca. age 50. Dr. Tiedeman(n)was born March 20, 1884, in Roy, Washington. He attended Willamette University and got his medical training at the University of Oregon Medical School in Portland. He began his medical practice in Spray, Oregon, which is where he was located when he married Margaret May Denham on September 22, 1915, at her parent's home 1507 3rd in Baker City. He practiced medicine in Baker City until his death on January 3, 1938, age 53. He was a member of the 5J School District Board. Upon his death, South Baker School, built in 1901, was renamed Tiedemann School. (May had briefly been principal of South Baker School before their marriage.) The name changed back to South Baker School, when the present building was constructed in 1952.
