"Going camping tomorrow sure. Charlie and all of us Martin staid all night and went after the horses.... Didn't get started till 10 o'clock.... Camped down at a pretty place just above Bunyans.... Hot time for John in evening- skunk, pheasants, fish, grouse duck. [John is probably the name of the family dog.] Thurs-- Started further up to the meadows reached them by noon. Lovely place Sat-- Went up to falls and old Chloride Mine---took pictures. Ellen and Alma wanted us to go up to Killamaque Lake with them Sunday but it would be 7 miles over rough country.... Our camp is simply beautiful dense level-thick grove.... Boys off fishing, Charlie hunting and Papa Kodaking. Earle and Lloyd are playing around, Mama reading, and Jennie and I both in one hammock trying to steady ourselves to write this. Went up to the falls took pictures.... Wed 17th started home at nine O'clock, got there at three."
