Description	BHS 1938 Oregon Championship basketball team: Front Row: Charley Taylor, mgr, George Allison, coach. Back Row: Virgil (Butch) Summers, Bob Ott, Waymon Coleson, Wallace Sowers, Willard Hall, Wendell Coleman, Orville Ragsdale, Donald Felton Huntsman The Oregon Championship Tourament was played in Salem. After Baker won the Class A championship, it then had to play Amity, the winner of the Class B championship. The final game took place on March 19, 1938. After trailing Amity by one point at the half, Baker surged in the second half to beat Amity by a score of 27 to 18.
