Brooks Hawley note: My, but I was impossible, or am always impossible. I never went with a girl realy until I was about 30 years old, not that I wasn't badly in love at a distance at times before that. But in the 30's I was school clerk and I began to think school teachers were God's gift to lonely me. There were two teachers at McEwen and I would take them both to town--what confusion. When it was Pearl and Galena, it was Pearl but it went better if Galena was along, too. I even tried to dance, and there is no dance to me whatever. Pearl let me hold her tight while the music went but I had to let loose when the music stopped--still very confusing. Last I knew Galena never married, but certainly I didn't break her heart. It was 1949 and I was 47 when Tyyne and I were married, but that is a different story. There isn't any maybe to Tyyne. (These albums aren't supposed to be my personal history.)
