Sumpter School. Graduating Class of May 18, 1917. In August 1917 a fire destroyed much of Sumpter, but the school house was spared. The graduating class of 1918 had only two graduates: Walter Reed, Inez Worley. They were the last seniors to graduate from Sumpter School.
