Description |
South Baker/Tiedeman(n) School. Built in 1901. Named for Dr. Albert Tiedeman(n), a local physician and long-time 5J board member, who died in 1938 at age 54. The building was razed to make room for the present South Baker School, which was built in 1952. You find the name spelled both ways. Although Dr. Tiedeman spelled it with just one "n" his son Albert Tiedemann, Jr., spelled it with two. Notice that the original tower has been removed. |
