Date of photo 1985 ca.
Description Dan Warnock's boots carved in willow wood by Henry L. Davis. (There are 6 IMAGES attached to this record.) The original boots and the carved version are in the possession of Leslie Davis. Les says that his brother, Henry Davis, and Dan Warnock, a well-known Sumpter Valley rancher, were good friends. Henry, an accomplished carver of duck decoys and other objects, used Dan's old cowboy boots as models for carving this pair of boots. Henry's initials are on the soles of the boots in image #6. Henry died in 1997; Dan died in 2003.
