Description	Bachman Family ca. 1893. August Bachman (1854-1900) and Katherine Theresa Bachman (1860-?). Children: Back Row: Mena (Mrs. S. Walgamott), Christina (Mrs. Trace Curtiss), Edith (Mrs. O.H.P. McCord) Front Row: Harry, Alice (Mrs. Harold Bettner) Kate Bachman was Walkie Tabor's mother's aunt. Bachman had a butcher shop in old town Granite (at foot of hill) and later moved his business up the hill and built a nice house. August and Katie are buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery. He was originally buried in Sumpter but body was later moved to Baker City, where Katie lived after his rather early death.
