Description	Virgil Strother Ison. Born 12-1-1878 at Baker City, died 7-23-1965 in San Mateo, California. m. Mary M. Haradan on 2-19-1907 in Portland. Graduated from medical school in 1904. Virgil's parents were Luther Buford Ison and Josephine Cates Ison. His grandfather was Strother Ison (see images 2007.16.1 and 2007.16.2). Virgil practice medicine in Baker City until 1947, when he and Mary moved to San Mateo, California. Virgil and Mary raised four children in Baker City. Frank S. 12-10-1907 to 4-14-1988 Luther B. 4-4-1909 to ? (died early) Ard 11-22-1914 to Nov. 1993 Jean Victor 3-19-1912 to 12-27-1969 Luther Oliver 1-12-1917 to 10-17-2007 at age 90. Was an Episcopal priest for 61 years.
