Description	Fuchs gravestones, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Twin brothers Isador and Mose were born January 3, 1865, in Weingarten, Germany, south of Stuttgart near the Swiss border. Parents were Hirsch Fuchs and Fanny Ottenheimer Fuchs. Their mother's brother Sam Ottenheimer emigrated to Baker City, one of many Jewish businessmen important to the city's early development. As young adults, Isador and Mose followed their uncle to Oregon. In 1901 Mose built the first swimming pool using water from Sam-O Spring, owned by his uncle Sam Ottenheimer. In 1912 Mose and Isador established the Sam-O Springs Bottling Co., using water from the spring. Starting in 1914 Mose managed the golf course located on the east side of Baker City. Mose married Hannah Fox 11-20-1887 in Weiser. They lived in a large two-story house on the NE corner of Main and Campbell. He died 6-10-1948 and she died in 1950. Their grandson Milton Levy, who grew up in Baker City, donated the other photos in this collection. Isador married Katherine Stack, sister of Helen M. Stack, at Colorado Springs, on January 4, 1898. They had one child, Armand (6-2-1901 to 8-14-1965). Armand had no children. Isador died on September 21, 1945, Katie on February 3, 1865. The twins and their spouses are buried in adjoining plots in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
