Description |
Freeland A. Colvard. Freeland was born 3-29-1900 in Gordon, Texas, the son of Robert Lee Colvard and Maude Nolan Colvard. The family came to Oregon from Oaklahoma Territory about 1912. They established a homestead on the Powder River about a mile east of Lower Powder River Valley. They put in a gas station a few years later, which was called Colvard Station. Freeland and wife, Ruth, had two children: Patricia L. Colvard Hale and Richard M. Colvard. |
