The following info comes from William Geddes of La Grande, grandson of Frank Geddes, son of Joseph F. Geddes: Joseph A. Geddes (11-2-1850 to 1-9-1914) Born in Ohio, then to Indiana, then to Baker County in 1871. Joseph married Eva J. Freligh (1852-1905) 2-19-1871. He mined, farmed, then owned a butcher shop with Kraft. Wm. Pollman worked for him. Then Pollman became a partner. They owned property together. Pollman became president of First National Bank. Children of Joseph and Eva Geddes (3 died of diphtheria in November 1878): Frank A. 12-2-1871 to 1944 m.
