Gallows on which Pleas Armstrong was executed January 22, 1904, at Baker City, OR.
On back of picture: "This is a photograph of the scaffold, where Pleasant Armstrong was hung on Friday ,January 22nd, 1904. It was located in the Court House Yard, and on the south side of the building. Amrstrong was hung for killing Miss Minnie Ensminger, which occured in the Rock Creek district on December 25th, 1902. He was convicted on March 27th, 1903."
