Description |
Band shell at Geiser-Pollman Park. The occasion was a meeting of the Baker County Pioneers Association on July 4, 1950. There are four photo attached to this record. The 4th photo shows a flag with 33 stars (Oregon was 33rd state) sewn by Tamar Smith and other Auburn ladies, ca. 1962. The band shell was located next to Powder River on the north side of the park, where the horseshoe throwing pits are today. It was removed when Campbell St. was widened around 1970. |
