Description J. A. Churchill. (Summarized.) Native of Ohio. Graduate of the Normal University, Ada, Ohio. Started teaching at age 18. Became principal of schools in Westminister, Ohio, and later principal of high school in Crookston, Minnesota. Came to Baker City in 1891 as principal of the high school the first year, then superintendent since then. J. A. stands for Julius Alonzo, which Churchill never used.
