Description |
Armory Hall located at northeast corner of 4th & Broadway. Built ca. 1890 for the local National Guard unit. It was also used for social events and fraternal organizations. Members of the fraternal organization IOOF are lined up in front. The banner reads: "Canton Progress No. 2, IOOF, Baker City, Oregon" Spire of the first Baptist Church may be seen in background right. The church, a wood frame building, was located at the east end of the block. |
