Description Snake River Tunnel, now inundated by reservoir waters. The tunnel was dug around 1907 as part of the construction of the Northwester Railroad Co. line 58 miles from Huntington to Homestead for the purpose of transporting copper ore from the Iron Dyke Mine and copper mines on the Idaho side of Snake River.
