SVRy. Last run of SVRy passenger train. Combine car #26 (mail/baggage & passenger) at SVRy depot in Baker City.
Passenger and baggage car service was discontinued in 1933. Thereafter passengers and mail were carried in the caboose. In 1947, SVRy ceased all operations, sold its rolling stock, and removed its tracks.
This is the beginning of a series of 22 photos of the last run of SVRy passenger train service taken by Milton Levy in 1933. The first three photos (2007.4.2a-c) are 3" x 4" prints. The rest are digital copies made from negatives stored in this folder. |
