Description	SVRy snowplow engine supported by four other engines near Austin in February 1915. Engine at left is Baker White Pine Lumber Co. Climax engine #3. Next two are Nibley Lumber Co. engines. Fourth engine is unidentified. Baker White Pine Lumber Co. mill was built on the SVRy by Frank Gardinier in 1912 in the mountains 3 miles south of Tipton where Sixteenth Gulch bottoms out at Crawford Creek. The company built its own rail spurs on which it used three Climax engines. The company later established a large mill in South Baker. The company was sold to Stoddard Brothers in 1929. More directions: If you take the Crawford Creek road from either the top of Tipton (Hwy 7) or at Crawford Meadows (Hwy 26), you will come to an intersection about half way through. Beside the road are some concrete blocks that the White Pine boiler sat on. Just across the creek is the road up to Jap Meadows. The old railroad grade is still there along Crawford Road. It ties into the main line at the upper end of Taylor Siding.
