People are: Hazel Nokes, sister of Pearl Stewart, Mrs. James Nokes, mother of Pearl Stewart, Pearl Stewart (wife of Will Stewart), Dick Nokes, brother of Pearl Stewart who grew up to be editor of Portland Oregonian, and George Massamore. Will and Pearl Stewart spent much of the year 1917 at the Pyx Mine in Granite area. (See mining photos.)
