Description |
SVRy. Boulder Gorge with road on north side above the bridge. This is the bridge that replaced Red Bridge seen in image 1992.1.856. It had concrete pilings and no upper level trusses.
Brooks Hawley note: Boulder Gorege in the early 1920's. Here is certainly a Dodge, as famous and beloved as a Model T, such as won World War I. This fine picture gets teh old county market road and the railroad bridge in relationship in the gorge. This is a nice mate to [image 1992.1.856] which is 30 years earlier, both pictures now equally historic and a thing of the past. Boulder Gorge isn't a very good name, it's solid rock, no boulders, just "The Gorge" is more the common name.
