Description	Rainbow Mine? The photo is clearly labled Rainbow Mine and was in the collection of John Ward Sargent, who worked until 1912 at the Rainbow Mine in Mormon Basin, located in southern Baker County just north of the Malheur County border. But the high ridge in the background indicates this could not be the Rainbow Mine located in Mormon Basin. That mine was on a north-facing slope. If this photo were the Rainbow Mine in Mormon Basin, the view would be to the south or southeast, where there is no high ridge as seen in this photo.
