Description |
Doodlebug dredge. A June 26, 1941, Record-Courier article described the dredge: "This [dredge], which has only been put to work and has yielded several cleanups, is located in Boulder Gorge on Powder River, about three or four miles below the big Sumpter Valley dredge. The plant, installed by Ralph Hatley and F. L. Wilson, both longtime Supter residents, is working down stream just opposite the highway. It will work back a little higher on the bank and will later pave the way for a contemplated bydraulic operation. Mr. Wilson is shown tending the grizzly above and Mr. Hatley below. |
