McWillis Placer Mine. Owner Grant McWillis. Two miners using giant hydraulic nozzle. McWillis Gulch is a couple of miles NE of Greenhorn. It drains into Olive Creek about a mile from its source, which is a small lake southeast of its confluence with Olive Creek. Willis Gulch is a mile south of Olive Butte and a mile northwest of Pyx Mine, which is a quarter mile up the hill east of the small lake. |
