Description |
La Bellevue Mine. Lower mill August 27, 1946. Fred and John Cabell located the Bellevue Mine in 1875. Fred and his wife lived at the mine for 20 years. Their eight-year-old daughter died there. Fred died in Sumpter in 1914. His wife died in Baker City in April 1923. All three are buried on Onion Creek near the mine. (Tabor's "Granite and Gold," p. 64.) Located 7.1 miles SW of Anthony Lake and 6.75 miles NE of Granite. |
