Description	Dredge #3 (Sumpter Valley) . Mrs. W. H. Cullers christening the dredge April 16, 1935. Notice wine bottle hanging against the metal covering the dredge bottom to protect the wood from dragging on the ground. Brooks Hawley notes: Dredge #3 had three owners: Sumpter Valley Dredging Co., Baker Dredging Co., and Powder River Dredging Co. It was active 1935-1954 with two and one half years shut down during WWII. The main machinery in Dredge #1 (1913-1924) was used again in this dredge. Dredge #2 (1915-1923) worked up Cracker Creek toward Bourne.
