Comstock Mine. Located ca. 1.7 miles WNW of Granite, exact location unknown. Seven persons posing on tailings pile. One person is obscured by damage to the print. An ore car is poised at the end of the tram at the top of the tailings pile. There is a ditch at bottom of photo.
Notation on photo: "Comstock mines. Lawton, Grant, Co., Or." Lawton was a mining camp on Clear Creek southwest of Granite. It no longer exists.
