Columbia Cement Company plant. Located 4.6 miles SE of Durkee. The view is west at the southeast entrance to Durkee Valley. Today Interstate 84 goes right by the former site of this plant, which was located tight up against Gold Hill, and across Burnt River to the left of this photo, is the Ashgrove Cement Co. plant.
