Description Gypsum processing plant on Snake River. Elwood Wirth of Durkee identified this photo. He wrote, "it appears to be of Gypsum, which is located on the Snake River about 4 air miles east (through the mountain) of Lime and about 4 miles down Snake River from the mouth of Burnt River below Huntington. The actual mine for gypsum was located up the steep hillside above and out of sight of all of these photos. Some concrete pillars can still be seen along the county road at the site of Gypsum."
