Description |
E & E Mine (Eureka & Excelsior Mine).
Brooks Hawley note: This is the first mill at Bourne, built in 1889, likely, by Senator Jonathan Bourne for $250,000, and lost 80% of the values in milling. The only outstanding run the E & E ever did was when leased to J. H. Longmaid of Montana for 3 1/2 years around 1895-1899, who took out $900,000 and cleared $240,000, the mill having been worked over and vanners used. This was a 20 stamp mill. |
