Description	Burkemont Mine. Located about three miles north of Keating. Note on back of photo: "Staff house and surface improvements on property of North American Mining Company, Baker Co., Oregon." Note by Mrs. R. L. Nelson: "As Burkemont looked when we moved there April 1, 1906, and lived in the small house at extreme front center. Later Grandpa Levi Nelson built on a kitchen for us. Rob was hoist man. Bob was born Sept. 5, 1906, and I went back to Burkemont when he was three weeks old."
