| Last Chance Mine. Road to mine passes the famous Douglas fir tree, now a standing snag having died around 2002. It is located at almost the crest of the ridge that separates the Union-Companion from the Last Chance. Mine is 1.6 miles NW of Cornucopia at 7,000 ft. elevation. |
