Description Turner Bros. Feed and Sale Stables of Frank and A. J. Turner. In February 1914 they leased the old Jenkins barns and remodelled them. "When the European war broke out, foreseeing a demand for hroses they entered into negotiations with Jones & Campbell, the buyers for the French government, whereby they agreed to furnish several thousand head of horses for cavalry and artillery use.... They have the contract for Baker, Union, Grant and Malheur counties.... Several carloads have been shipped..... Commencing February 15 the firm again started their regular monthly sales, inaugurated by them last year.... Three days in each month have been set aside as public sale days, though stock wil be sold at private sale at all times."
